Easing back into this, I come to you with a project that could not be simpler. All you need is washi tape and somewhere to stick it! Washi tape has been all over pinterest for the past few years, but I never found any practical application for it. Some of my favorites, however are these removable decorating tricks for renters... I've just never put any of them to use. Anyway, I landed on this particular project when trying to come up with something to do with my mom other than eating or shopping. I've always thought that there's no reason we can't just hang out, but we never really do. Our time together always revolves around food and home goods. So while trying to come up with an easy and fast craft I found myself in the aisle of random wooden objects essential to every AC Moore and Michael's in America... you know this aisle.
Usually I'm like "Wtf, how many people actually shop in this aisle to necessitate so many options?!" This time, however, I was grateful for the variety. I figured something from this aisle would be a pretty good start since it's all prefabbed and I was looking for low impact crafting materials. I considered decorating them with paint or markers, but then realized that a less intimidating approach would be to use decorative washi tape instead. My goal was to come up with something that takes minimal technical ability, but results in maximal cuteness. I think my mission was accomplished.
