I had never heard of it before and am still unclear on how to pronounce it, but now I know how to make it! The recipe comes from this blog.
Here's what you'll need:
Because I'm not all that into cooking, I lack many of the necessary kitchen tools (and skills) to be a food blogger. The knife you see in these pictures is thanks to a Crate and Barrel gift card from my aunt and uncle last Christmas. Something pretty essential to this recipe was a food processor; a kitchen gadget I do not possess. So I chopped all ingredients as finely as I could and hoped that was sufficient, if not I knew that Kate has a food processor of her own and she could DIY the remainder of the recipe. Not a very classy gift giver move, but you can only work with what you've got so I hope she didn't judge me too harshly for the faux pas.
Something I did learn for this recipe was how to smash garlic without a garlic press. I then learned all about the controversy that surrounds the garlic press. Seriously, google garlic press controversy. I don't have strong feelings either way, but I tend to be Team Alton Brown on most culinary matters. Aaanyway, here's this thing I made... I'll provide an update when I get a review from my dear friend and maybe this food segment will become a regular thing... doubtful, tbh... unless you're interested in some food fails.
